Should you have a Content Management Solution (CMS)?

Your Website should be kept fresh and with this in mind, wouldn't it be better to update/add content yourself as and when you want to?  We think so and there are many advantages in doing so.

• You won't have to pay for the updates to be done by your Web Company

• You won't have to wait for them to be done by your Web Company

• Refreshing your content regularly improves your Search Engine Ranking

• Your visitors will see new content - keeping them on your Website for longer

• If you make a mistake e.g. spelling, you can just log in and correct it very quickly

• You can increase the size of your Website by adding pages which again increases your Ranking

To enable you to do this, your Website Company will have to add a bit of programming to the 'back end' of your Site which will cost you money, but you will save money in the long run as you won't have to pay them for updates and amendments going forward.

Once programmed in, updating your Website should be a breeze as the interface is usually very easy to use.
